Regina Hernandez, LCSW #122067 (She/Her)
Welcome! I’m Regina, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Los Angeles. I am a Mexican-American cisgender woman. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and my Master’s in Social Work from Cal State Fullerton. In addition to being a therapist, I am a certified Reiki Master and Sound Healing practitioner, integrating mind-body healing into my practice.
Ever since I was a child, I knew I wanted to help people. Growing up in a military family, I saw firsthand the impact that life challenges and systems can have on mental health and the deep need for support. At the same time, I also witnessed the stigma surrounding mental health in my Latinx community, which made me even more passionate about becoming a therapist. My goal has always been to provide a safe, welcoming space where people feel seen, heard, and understood—especially those seeking culturally affirming care.
Since 2018, I have had the privilege of providing individual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in non-profits, schools, private practice, and medical settings. My approach is rooted in respect, compassion, and a deep commitment to social justice. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and empowering space where you can explore your experiences, heal, and grow in a way that honors your unique identity and lived experience.
Outside of therapy, I find joy in spending time with my loved ones, attending concerts, and hosting sound baths. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your healing journey.

My Approach
My approach is person-centered, meaning I see you as the expert in your own life. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing, so together, we’ll explore what feels most authentic, safe, and supportive for you. I practice through a decolonized and somatic approach. I acknowledge the impact of oppressive systemic systems on one’s mental health and lived experiences. I create space for ancestral and culturally rooted healing practices and honor each person’s unique lived experience. I will support you in tuning into your body and identifying where emotions are held to release what is no longer serving you.
You can expect warmth, compassion, transparency, and humor in our sessions. At the same time, I will gently challenge you to recognize and shift old patterns that may no longer be serving you. Your sense of safety is my top priority. I encourage open communication—if anything I say or do doesn’t feel safe to your nervous system or heart please let me know so we can discuss it.
In our work together, I strive to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, and unlearn internalized narratives that no longer serve you. Therapy is not about "fixing" you—it's about reclaiming your power, healing in a way that aligns with your truth, and holding space for all parts of who you are.
